§ 1005. Requirements for subdivision of land.

  • No plat of the subdivision of any land within the incorporated area of the city may be filed with or recorded by the county clerk of court until such plat has been submitted to and approved by the city planning commission according to the procedure set forth in this ordinance unless such subdivision is specifically exempted by law from the requirements of this ordinance. No street or other way or land will be accepted or maintained, nor will any water lines, sewerage, street lighting or similar improvements be extended or connected, nor will any certificate of occupancy be issued by any department of the city for any building or other improvements in any subdivision established hereafter which has not been approved by the city planning commission and met such requirements as prescribed by the city council. Further, all applicable state, county or city ordinances which regulate the disturbance of raw land for the purpose of construction must also be complied with in the subdivision process.
